New Privacy Features<\/b><\/p>\n
Over the past several months, the WordPress core development team, Automattic, and other industry leaders have been working hard to bring new privacy-features and information to the community.\u00a0 We want to give you more visibility into the personal data we use and more control over the data you share with us.<\/p>\n
Recently we’ve added:<\/p>\n
We will be releasing information and features to help you and your site meet the requirements of new privacy laws, like Europe\u2019s new General Data Protection Regulation (\u201cGDPR\u201d) that goes into effect on May 25, 2018. You can read the\u00a0full text<\/a>\u00a0of the GDPR, as well as the European Commission\u2019s\u00a0summary<\/a>. New features include: a new \u201ccookie and consent\u201d notification that Jetpack connected sites can add to their sites.<\/p>\n These updates are in addition to the privacy protections\u00a0we\u2019ve always had in place<\/a>\u00a0to help you control your content, keep it secure, or even move your site to another WordPress host.<\/p>\n What\u2019s New in Our Policies?<\/b><\/p>\n We updated our Privacy Policy<\/a> and our Terms of Service<\/a>. Here are some of the updates you\u2019ll see:<\/p>\n Our new Privacy Policy and Terms of Service will take effect on May 25, 2018. If you continue to use our services on or after May 25, 2018, you acknowledge that your use will be subject to our new Privacy Policy and you agree to be bound by our new Terms.<\/p>\n And there\u2019s more to come!
