Please check this page then for more information. In the meantime, if you are finished with your OPTe.io account and would like to shut it down, you can follow the steps outlined below to deactivate it.<\/em><\/p>\n<h4 id=\"empty-and-delete-your-sites\" class=\"section-title\">Empty and Delete Your Sites<\/h4>\n<p>You can empty your sites of all content and then delete them by following these guides:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\".\/empty-site\/\">https:\/\/opte.io\/support\/empty-site\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\".\/delete-site\/\">https:\/\/opte.io\/support\/delete-site\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please be aware that this is irreversible so if you want to keep a personal copy of your site contents you should\u00a0<a href=\".\/export\/\">export it<\/a>\u00a0before emptying and deleting it.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any trouble emptying or deleting your sites, our support team would be happy to assist you. You can reach out to us from\u00a0<a href=\".\/help\/\">https:\/\/opte.io\/support\/help\/<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"remove-your-personal-information\" class=\"section-title\">Remove Your Personal Information<\/h4>\n<p>By editing your\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/opte.io\/wp-admin\/profile.php\">Profile<\/a>\u00a0you can remove all personally identifying data except the account username and email address:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/opte.io\/wp-admin\/profile.php\">https:\/\/opte.io\/wp-admin\/profile.php<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you want your email address disconnected from the account the easiest way to do so is to:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Create a throwaway email address from an online email service provider<\/li>\n<li>Change the user email to that throwaway address.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note that because we don\u2019t want other people to have your username in the future, it is not possible to delete a OPTe.io username.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"disable-your-gravatar\" class=\"section-title\">Disable Your Gravatar<\/h4>\n<p>If you configured your Gravatar profile when you signed up, you can remove profile information through the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.gravatar.com\/profiles\/edit\/#about-you\">My Profile<\/a>\u00a0page.<\/p>\n<p>You can also remove any Gravatar profile pictures you added, plus all email addresses except your primary account email, from:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.gravatar.com\/emails\/\">https:\/\/en.gravatar.com\/emails\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you choose, you can hide your Gravatar profile from external access. To do so:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Click the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.gravatar.com\/profiles\/edit\/#about-you\">My Profile<\/a>\u00a0link in the top menu bar<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201cView Profile\u201d link immediately under your name in the right sidebar<\/li>\n<li>Click the \u201cHide Profile\u201d button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4 id=\"unsubscribe-from-email-notifications\" class=\"section-title\">Unsubscribe from Email Notifications<\/h4>\n<p>To unsubscribe from any email notifications from OPTe.io, go to our <a href=\"https:\/\/network.us11.list-manage.com\/unsubscribe?u=dac57bd6b9ea077876ce229e0&amp;id=11bee3f187\">unsubscribe form<\/a>\u00a0and enter your <strong>user account email address<\/strong> and click unsubscribe.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"change-your-username\" class=\"section-title\">Change Your Username<\/h4>\n<p>Although we do not allow for the deletion of usernames, it is possible to create a different username. You can find instructions for how to do this in our <a href=\".\/user-roles\/\">User Role<\/a> support page.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"change-your-password\" class=\"section-title\">Change Your Password<\/h4>\n<p>When you have finished scrubbing your account you can prevent all further access to it by updating the password to a random string of 15 to 20 characters. Passwords can be changed from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/opte.io\/wp-admin\/profile.php\">https:\/\/opte.io\/wp-admin\/profile.php<\/a>; you can use \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/passwordsgenerator.net\/\">Secure password generator<\/a>\u201d to make sure it\u2019s a secure and random password that\u2019s unknown to anyone.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starting on May 25, 2018, you\u2019ll be able to close your OPTe.io account.
