Before deciding to migrate away from OPTe, please consider:

    • AI Subscriptions (Divi AI)
    • Commercial plugin subscriptions (Elementor Pro, Gravity Forms …)
    • Potential developer fees for setup ($50+)
    • WP/theme/plugin maintenance and support ($35/mo+)
  2. Assembly Requirements: You’ll need to:
    • Choose and pay for hosting (Divi Siteground, Elementor Hosting)
    • Install WordPress
    • Purchase and install the same themes and plugins you’re currently using (search plugins)
    • Configure security plugins (like WordFence)
    • Set up caching and performance optimization
  3. Value Comparison: Our annual fee (approximately $96-$264) includes:
    • Managed WordPress hosting (comparable to ~$300/year premium services)

Cloudflare Integration

Your OPTe.io site benefits from Cloudflare integration, which provides several important services:

Important Cloudflare Considerations for Migration

If you’re migrating your site:

  • Maintain Your Cloudflare Account: We strongly recommend keeping your Cloudflare setup when migrating
  • Account Ownership: You have your own Cloudflare account, with OPTe added as a member for support purposes
  • Migration Options:
    • Continue using your existing Cloudflare account by updating settings for your new host
    • Create a new Cloudflare account and update your domain nameservers
  • Consult Support: If you’re unsure about your Cloudflare setup, please contact our support team—especially if we set up your account through our OPTe Solutions web design service

Built-in Portability Options

  • WordPress Export: WordPress includes built-in content export functionality.
  • Theme/Plugin Portability: Both Divi and Elementor have their own portability options for exporting designs and layouts.

These methods may not include all plugin settings or large media libraries, which is why additional assistance may be needed.

What We Provide for Migration

When requested, we can provide:

  • An export file using the All-in-One Migration plugin (no theme or plugins included).

Migration Steps

If you decide to proceed with migration away from OPTe, here’s the process:

  1. Prepare Your New Environment:
    • Choose and set up your new hosting account
    • Install WordPress
    • Purchase and install the same theme you’re using on our platform
    • Install necessary plugins you’re currently using (subscription fees may be required)
    • Configure security and caching solutions
    • Coordinate with your developer regarding your Cloudflare setup
  2. Request and Receive Migration File:
    • Contact our support team to request a migration export (no theme or plugins included)
    • We’ll provide an All-in-One Migration export file
  3. Import Your Site:
    • Install the All-in-One Migration plugin on your new WordPress installation
    • Import the file we provided* (the wp user used to setup wordpress will not work after migration)
    • To gain access: Add/edit user email in your database _users table. wp codex
    • Reset your password, login, and re-save the permalinks
    • Test your site thoroughly and make any necessary adjustments
